Management and practice
In this study visit you can see how youth work is structured and delivered in Helsinki, the largest city in Finland.

The study visit shows you what goes on behind the screens in administrative planning and how it translates into practices on young people's everyday level.

Municipal youth work follows the Youth Act, several political papers and strategies, but it also needs to hear the need of the end users. On the study visit you can see how evaluation of work, knowledge management and documentation support service development.

But what happens in real life?
Priorities and strategies may seem distant and dry, but municipal service providers have to follow them. On the study visit you can also see how the strategic plans translate into activities on open youth houses, into digital youth work services and in practices like participative budgeting.

You will meet both people working in youth work administration and youth workers on the field. The study visit will give you an insight to youth work management, practice and methodology.

Inspiration to your own work
You are a relevant participant for this study visit, if you work in municipal youth work structures and you are interested in developing new ways of working, transferring practice or seeing expamples on which to build your own approches.

You can be a practicioner who works on youth houses, clubs, projects or other support services.

You can also be a person from municipal administration who runs projects or develops service concepts, or a decision-maker who is interested in cross-sectoral cooperation and relevance of youth work.

Pay in mind that the idea is to help you to gain knowledge, practices and competences that you can put in practice in your everyday life with young people or which can help you in developing municipal services. If you are interested in the topic on a personal level, but you do not have a link to youth work practice or a youth work organisation, you do not qualify as a participant.

Safe, accessible and sustainable
In our activities we support the principle of a safer space. It means all the participants have the freedom to be themselves, express themselves freely and be included in all the activities without discrimination, bullying or harrassing others. We want you to respect the same principle, too.

Our activities are accessible to people with disabilities. If you need a support person, accessible room and transport or supporting tools, we will provide it for you. You can tell us your needs in beforehand so that we can be ready.

We take sustainability in consideration where we can. Since most participants have to fly over the sea to Finland, we encourage you to travel on land within Finland. We also encourage you to contact your own national agency to find out how they support low-emission travelling to activities abroad.

We provide plant-based meals, or use locally grown and produced foods, as much as possible. We also respect the diets and food allergies of all participants.

The activity links to a strategic European project which helps to develop the municipal youth work practices. You can find more information on Europe Goes Local (EGL) on their website.

Covid rules
Before you apply you should familiarise yourself with the Covid19 rules when traveling to Finland. If the rules change during the spring, we will update this call. If you are selected, you will have the updated information in the welcome letter.

Currently, please note that if you are not vaccinated, the entry rules are different for you. Unvaccinated persons must self-isolate for 3 days after entering Finland, even if they are tested at the airport. The self-isolation will happen right after arrival and therefore it makes the participation in the in training impossible.

Moreover, the Finnish NA cannot cover the costs caused by the self-isolation.

It is possible to apply / participate in the activity only if you are fully vaccinated with a vaccine that is approved in Finland or if you have a certificate of recovering from Covid 19 in less than 6 months from entering the country.

Hogyan lehet jelentkezni?
Kérjük, egyaránt töltse ki az idegen nyelvű (SALTO) és a magyar nyelvű jelentkezési lapot! 

A részvétel költségei: 
A résztvevők nemzetközi utazását, ill. biztosítási költségeit a Tempus Közalapítvány Erasmus+ ifjúsági csoport, a külföldi szállás és étkezés, valamint a programhoz kapcsolódó költségeket a fogadó nemzeti iroda vagy a szervező fedezi.

A résztvevő, a programra történő utazása során felmerülő egyéb utazási költségeket (transzfer költségek), valamint az utazáshoz kötelezően szükséges egészségügyi igazolásokhoz kapcsolódó költségeket (pl. PCR teszt) - mint a programhoz történő résztvevői hozzájárulást - fizeti. Amennyiben a transzfer költségek és az utazáshoz kötelezően szükséges egészségügyi igazolásokhoz kapcsolódó költségek együttes összege a 10.000 forintot meghaladja, úgy a Közalapítvány egyéni kérelem benyújtását követően - egyedi elbírálás alapján - a 10.000 forint feletti összeget megtéríti a résztvevő részére.

Felhívjuk a jelentkezők figyelmét, hogy az utazás megszervezése a Tempus Közalapítvány hatáskörébe tartozik. Az esetlegesen felmerülő többletköltségeket a Tempus Közalapítvány nem állja, a keletkezett károkért felelősséget nem vállal.
