On the one side, there are organisations opening up to participants with disabilities and working to take further concrete steps. On the other side there are organisations that are self-representing, work for and with young persons with disabilities or work with diverse groups of youth and are interested in creating inclusive projects with partners across borders.

“AccessAbility” will offer an open space for getting to know other professionals’ work and experiences, challenges and successes/failures. It will give the chance to find partners for future international cooperation.

Additionally, participants will get information about inclusion opportunities in the EU programmes Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps. Both programmes offer tools for empowering and supporting the participation of young people with disabilities or health challenges, e.g. financial means within Key Actions, toolboxes, etc. National Agency Officers will be present to answer questions and give advice. Further sources of information will be identified and gathered during the event.

This partnership-building activity will be an opportunity to find partners and partner organisations for future international cooperation, especially within Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps.

Aims and objectives

  • To explore Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps as tools for designing inclusive projects especially with young people with disabilities or health challenges.
  • To work on self-assessment and share concrete information, experiences as well as (still) open questions with other professionals.
  • To create an open space for meeting partner organisations for future international cooperation.

Target group

The partnership-building activity is open for voluntary and professional youth workers representing organisations/structures/groups that are:

  • either working directly with young people with disabilities,
  • or open to cooperating with organisations working with young people with disabilities in order to involve them in an international youth mobility project within the frame of Erasmus+ youth or the European Solidarity Corps programme.

Organisers and co-organisers:

  • Tempus Közalapítvány | Tempus Public Foundation (National Agency, Hungary)
  • Erasmus+ ja Euroopa Solidaarsuskorpuse agentuuri noorteprogrammide keskus (National Agency, Estonia)
  • JUGEND für Europa (National Agency, Germany)
  • Agentia Nationala pentru Programe Comunitare in Domeniul Educatiei si Formarii Profesionale (ANPCDEFP) (National Agency, Romania)

N.B.! The organisers will monitor the development of the ongoing Covid19-pandemic, and according to that, if the situation requires it, the activity might be cancelled/implemented online. In case the activity can be realised as planned, the travel, health and safety recommendations in the participating countries will be fully respected. All the participants will be accommodated in single rooms, masks will be used when and where required, and necessary sanitising equipment and measures will be arranged. More information will be provided directly to the selected participants.

Participants should arrive in Budapest on 3rd May in the afternoon and depart on 7th May (anytime).

The organisers of the activity are committed to making this event inclusive and accessible for all. Should you have any questions or concerns regarding your needs, please contact Ms Luca Pável (tca_ifjusag@tpf.hu).

This project is organised within the framework of the “health issues and disabilities” strand of NA Strategic Partnership on Inclusion (SPI), a multi-annual cooperation project involving 19 National Agencies for Erasmus+ YOUTH IN ACTION / European Solidarity Corps and two SALTO Resource Centres (Inclusion & Diversity and SALTO ESC). SPI, by means of strategic cooperation, aims at involving more inclusion organisations and increasing the participation of young people with fewer opportunities in the EU programmes Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps.
