EDUCATIONAL TOOLS: TRANSITION INTO REVOLUTION

The International Tool Fair is a place offering the opportunity to test and taste new tools, analyse, exchange and evaluate them, in order to valorise creativity in non-formal education pedagogical initiatives.

Tool Fair aims to be a community of practice open to youth workers, youth leaders, educators, trainers and teachers interested in sharing, transferring and adapting educational tools in the frame of non-formal learning.

What will the Tool Fair XV be about?

The XV edition of the International Tool Fair will explore the themes connected to the various risk factors that youth work faced and which will be addressed in the next future. Given the situation of social, cultural and economic fragility, practitioners dealing with youth education need to equip themselves with increasingly sophisticated and effective tools for learning that can help to cope with today's changes and challenges. The risk factors are diverse and complex: we have faced the serious crisis of the COVID-19, but also others such as environmental, democratic and human rights issues…

• How can youth work be a support for young people?
• Which are the needed educational tools that can be transferred in other social and cultural contexts?
• Is an educational revolution needed to turn CHANGE into CHANCE?

These are some of the questions that the 15th International Tool Fair will try to address by putting educational tools at the centre as an opportunity for exchange and professional growth.

How are we going to address these topics?

This edition of the Tool Fair will involve youth workers and trainers who have developed tools to support the psycho-physical well-being of the youth, but also digital and face-to-face tools designed during the lock-down period and developed throughout the transition period.

Moreover, tools (intellectual outputs) conceived within strategic partnership for innovation projects will be enhanced. With this intent, practices coming from the world of formal and vocational education will also be valued, to create cross-sectoral bridges between the different sectors of education dealing with youth.

TF Talks (3) are inspirational talks challenging the participants' thinking and offering philosophical considerations that will introduce some main reflections and provide new points of view. The International Tool Fair XV will host:

• Carmine Rodi Falanga with “Cyberpunk is now: how I learned to stop worrying and love the cam. Four principles to create engaging online learning experiences and avoid burnout, alienation and digital fatigue.”
• Fergal Barr with “Shiny Sophisticated New Tools: this is the last thing we need!”
• Marja Farmer with “How our emotions and soul are lost in digital space and what we can do about that"

Tools to Explore: 6 thematic sessions offering novel approaches of working with youth workers and/or young people. Tool to Explore consists of 3x1,5 hours program slots and allows the participants to gain deeper understanding. International Tool Fair XV will host:

• Bruno Antonio proposing “Toolkit for prevention of violent radicalisation”
• Susie Nicodemi  & Snežana  Bačlija Koch proposing "Opening the T-kit Value-based learning in mobility treasure chest”
• Zbigniew Janczukowicz proposing "FORTITUDE – a LARP about climate catastrophe”
• Lama Zeinoun Tabet proposing "The Safeguard Challenge”
• Alicja Anna Jablonska proposing “Game of optimisation”
• Michele Di Paola proposing “Minecraft: Videogames and Non-Formal Education”

Tool Workshops (24)

International Tool Fair XV offers space to more tools coming from the field of non-formal education presented by participants. You are invited to apply to the Tool Fair to share a tool that you have developed about:

• Environmental engagement of youth
• Holistic wellbeing of youth
• Tools adapted and transferred from offline to online and vice versa responding to the changed educational framework
• Emotions in online/digital learning spaces: how to manage, how to provoke, which kind of emotions are possible online

Tools (intellectual outputs) conceived within strategic partnership for innovation projects will be welcome. With this intent, practices coming from the world of formal and vocational education will also be valued, to create cross-sectoral bridges between the different sectors of education dealing with youth.

Tools Market

An opportunity to share a broader range of tools, publications and ideas brought by the participants. Tools Market is the time and place to showcase and explore what the youth worker community is working on with specific focus and contribution of the youth workers of the hosting country.

 

Training overview

Hogyan lehet jelentkezni?
Kérjük, egyaránt töltse ki az idegen nyelvű (SALTO) és a magyar nyelvű jelentkezési lapot! 

A részvétel költségei: 
A résztvevők nemzetközi utazását, ill. biztosítási költségeit a Tempus Közalapítvány Erasmus+ ifjúsági csoport, a külföldi szállás és étkezés, valamint a programhoz kapcsolódó költségeket a fogadó nemzeti iroda vagy a szervező fedezi.

A résztvevő, a programra történő utazása során felmerülő egyéb utazási költségeket (transzfer költségek) - mint a programhoz történő résztvevői hozzájárulást - fizeti. Amennyiben a transzfer költségek együttes összege a 10.000 forintot meghaladja, úgy a Közalapítvány egyéni kérelem benyújtását követően - egyedi elbírálás alapján - a 10.000 forint feletti összeget megtéríti a résztvevő részére.

Felhívjuk a jelentkezők figyelmét, hogy addig, amíg a COVID-19 kapcsán bevezetett utazási korlátozások érvényben vannak, a Tempus Közalapítvány csak online tevékenységekre támogat résztvevőket. Amennyiben a tevékenység időpontjáig az utazási korlátozások feloldásra kerülnek, a támogatott résztvevők az utazás megszervezését követően saját felelősségükre vehetnek részt a tevékenységen. Az utazás megszervezése a Tempus Közalapítvány hatáskörébe tartozik. Az esetlegesen felmerülő többletköltségeket a Tempus Közalapítvány nem állja, a keletkezett károkért felelősséget nem vállal.
