Inclusion & Diversity Forum 2023

Jelentkezés a képzésre
Határidő: 2023.01.15.

Conference – Symposium - Forum
25-28 April 2023 | Bukarest, Románia

Working language(s):
English

Organiser:
SALTO Inclusion & Diversity (SALTO Resource Centre)

The ID Forum is an international conference organised by SALTO Inclusion & Diversity every two years to create greater visibility for inclusion & diversity in the EU youth programmes and build bridges between National Agency officers, beneficiaries, researchers and policymakers.

The event focuses on inclusion & diversity in a broad sense (following the definition of young people with fewer opportunities) and offers space for working on different issues. This is THE place for anyone in the field to get new information, inspiration, methods and partners.

We are putting together a diverse 3-day programme in a residential setting, which this time will focus on acknowledging the people who put inclusion & diversity into practice: youth workers, educators, social workers, youth practitioners, mentors or coaches. Those who remain motivated, who find creative solutions, develop inspiring methods and activities, and learn and grow with meaning. They are people with IDeals and IDeas.

The forum will be also a space to reflect, share practices, tools and resources, and discuss strategies for driving more inclusion and diversity into the EU Youth Programmes. It will be a space for stories, inspiration and togetherness. The programme will focus on active participation and peer learning and will provide participants with moments to reflect on their own connection to Inclusion & Diversity, and how is it present in their organisations and activities.

Furthermore, we will bring the cross-sectorial cooperation dimension into the event and explore the possibilities and the potential of connecting non-formal and formal education sectors.

Objectives:

  • To create greater visibility for inclusion & diversity and build bridges between stakeholders active in the field within the EU youth programmes (Erasmus+: Youth in Action and European Solidarity Corps).

  • Reflect on and celebrate together what has been achieved so far in the EU youth programmes.

  • Find inspiration from others’ practices and projects.

  • Look ahead to future challenges and opportunities to drive more inclusion into the EU youth programmes.

We are looking for National delegations, but why?
Each delegation should consist of 1-2 National Agency officer(s) and 2 youth workers/researchers/ youth advocates/ trainers/ practitioners.

This procedure has been taken since we want to steer the cooperation and sharing of good practices on both the national and international levels and ensure we bring the best variety of actors together on the spot.

For National Agencies hosting both the formal and non-formal sectors, we would like to ask you to bring an NA/ID officer representing the formal sector, in order to reinforce the cross-sectoral side of the programme.

Summary of the National delegations - Composition:

  • 1-2 National Agency officer(s), if possible mixed profiles, e.g. 1 ID officer + 1 other NA officer; or 1 ID officer for non-formal education + 1 ID officer for formal education (when possible);

  • 2 youth workers, researchers, youth advocates, trainers etc. over 18 years old (minors only permitted with legal responsible) who are able to come to Bucharest;

  • with good connections to their local youth work field;

  • at least one member must represent people facing barriers or having fewer opportunities;

  • able to communicate in English;

  • each delegation has to bring at least one good practice example to the ID Forum.

Delegations must be able to meet on the national level prior to the ID Forum (you will receive more specific instructions and support about this from the ID Forum team later in the process).

Tasks:

  • Building a team prioritising ID and being capable of working together with the NA in the ID field;

  • Preparing a good practice to be presented at the ID Forum;

  • Spreading the learning outcomes harvested during the ID Forum on a national level afterwards (good practices, report, ID Strategy etc.).

Criteria for the good practices:

  • A concrete tool that was produced under E+ or ESC project framework;

  • There was a clear achievement, something really new and game-changing;

  • Easy to adapt to different target groups, NGO and cultures;

  • Cost-effective;

  • Based on research

To ensure good practices differ in terms of target groups and environments (cities, suburbs, rural, poor, online…), we will compile the practices and share them online after the participants have submitted their registrations.
