Get Transnational is a 5 days training course about how to prepare, run and evaluate qualitative transnational youth initiatives for young people within the new ERASMUS + Programme. This is the 3rd edition of this training course.
The priority of this course is to continue promoting the development of European projects and as far as it is possible to stimulate the participation and the spirit of entrepreneurship of young people as well as their creativity, through transnational youth initiatives in collaboration projects with partners or groups from other countries. The transnational youth initiatives, within Key Action 2, Strategic Partnerships, in the framework of ERASMUS + Programme offer a perfect frame for the youngsters to develop international projects.

Concrete objectives of the course are:

1. To match European partners who are interested in developing youth initiatives linked to entrepreneurship and youth participation.
2. To create a meeting for potential partners that would like to develop a transnational youth initiative through ERASMUS + Programme.
3. To explore the added value of the European dimension of youth initiatives related to entrepreneurship and youth participation.
4. To facilitate the acquisition by participants of communication, teamwork and project management skills of international activities and networking.
5. To develop specific proposals for future projects of transnational youth initiatives.

Methodology:

The methodology of the course is based on the fundamental principles of non-formal education. The methods provided will enable participants to fully participate in the learning process. Learning from experience will be a fundamental pillar in the way the course will be facilitated. The course focuses on key aspects of non-formal education like the participant centred approach, which means that the program flow will be designed keeping in mind the participants’ real experience in the topic. The learning process will be adapted to the participants’ needs and learning preferences as well as the group’s work rhythm.
Moreover, an essential element of the methodology is based on the holistic nature of the learning experience, through methods that involve not only cognitive or intellectual approaches but also covering the emotional and attitudinal ones. This way the learning is enhanced as it embraces a more comprehensive and integrative approach for learning.
The diversity of working methods (presentations, role plays, simulations, debates, energizers, individual reflection questionnaires, technical project management, feedback techniques, teamwork, etc) will make more sense than ever in order to cover a practical and effective project management of transnational youth initiatives.
The international composition of the group of participants will be an asset to explore the multicultural dynamics of teamwork and will contribute to incorporate new pieces of learning from a cultural diversity perspective.
